In the following two-part viewpoint, syndicated columnists Patrick Buchanan and Don Feder contend that America is endangered by a growing population of nonwhite immigrants. In part I, Buchanan maintains that America will cease to be a cohesive nation if it continues to promote ethnic diversity and lenient immigration policies.
