Charles Glass
Charles Glass is an American journalist and a former Middle East correspondent for ABC News. In the following viewpoint, he argues that the United Nations has the legal and moral obligation to intervene in India and Pakistan’s dispute over Kashmir in order to prevent the two nations from waging a nuclear war. The United States by itself can do little, he argues, but the world’s countries working together under the international body can help resolve the Kashmir dispute. Glass argues that the United Nations risks a repetition of its failure to prevent the 1994 Rwanda genocide that produced hundreds of thousands of casualties.
