Home-schooled students perform well on standardized tests for college entrance and have gained entrance to most colleges. Many colleges report that, once enrolled, home-schooled students perform as well as or better than public school students. Christian colleges, in particular, pursue home-schooled students because they generally have a Christian background. Since more and more colleges recognize the abilities of home-schooled children, these students should not be required to take special standardized exams. In addition, colleges should be flexible in terms of acceptance materials and the submission of letters of recommendation.
