Lundy Bancroft, Why Does He Do That? Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men. New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 2002. Written by an expert on domestic violence, this book provides insight into the thinking of abusive men and how that affects their partners. One of the clearest presentations of the power and control issues behind domestic violence. A bit more challenging to read, but worth it.
