Ted Serios was an obscure Chicago bellboy who appeared to have the mysterious ability to project his mental images onto film. This ability is called thoughtography by some people. It is said to be a form of ESP called psychokinesis. This means the ability to affect objects or organisms by mental power alone.
Serios became well known when a psychiatrist named Jule Eisenbud began testing him and ultimately wrote a book called The World of Ted Serios. But was Serios's ability genuine? Skeptics believe that Serios cheated: He used sleight of hand to make it appear that he had psychic powers.
