Many people report instances of ESP involving their pets- for example, when a dog appears to know when its owner will arrive home, even when the owner comes home at different times each day. Scientists too, have found evidence of some animals' predictive ability-for example, animals that seem to be able to predict catastrophic events, such as an earthquake or a tornado. And some dogs are currently being trained as "seizure animals"; they apparently are able to predict when their owner is about to have a seizure, and they take measures to alert and protect that person. But do these instances of unusual animal behavior mean that these animals have a sixth sense, or are they just extrasensitive to the natural cues in their environment?
