Robert E. Kofahl
In the following viewpoint, Robert E. Kofahl argues that creation science—the theory that the origins of life are the result of purposeful divine action—should be included in public school science curricula. The theory of evolution—the idea that life developed through a process of mutations and natural selection— should not be taught as scientific fact because it has not been proven. Evolutionary theory should instead be treated as a hypothesis subject to critical evaluation and competing ideas, Kofahl contends.
