Vincent Bugliosi

Vincent Bugliosi is a prominent prosecuting attorney and author. In the following viewpoint, excerpted from his book Outrage: The Five Reasons Why O.J. Simpson Got Away with Murder, Bugliosi analyzes the murder trial of former football player O.J. Simpson. Bugliosi has no doubt that Simpson is guilty of the murders of his ex-wife and her companion, and for that reason he declares that he would never have agreed to defend Simpson during his trial. While Bugliosi fervently believes that every defendant has the right to an attorney, he asserts that there are so many lawyers available that it is completely ethical for him to represent only those clients he believes to be innocent or victims of mitigating circumstances.
