People who have been abducted by aliens have similar experiences. Therapists can determine how likely a claim of abduction is by comparing the experience with other known cases of alien abduction. If there are no significant differences, chances are the person has been abducted by aliens. Abductees are usually alone (but not always) when the aliens appear.
