English scholar who produced a commentary on De sphaera by thirteenth-century English mathematician Sacrobosco. In Robertus's text, entitled Tractatus quadrantis vetus, he discussed a demonstration of the force of gravity using a millstone. Robertus also wrote Canons for the Astrolabe, later printed in 1478.
