PSP, or Personal Software Package, is the supporting resource package for the Personal Software Process (or Program). The latter, which can also be called PSP, is a software engineering methodology that is designed to promote improvement in the work efficiency and software design skills of programmers.
In this entry, PSP will refer to the software package.
The software tools that form the PSP are varied and are intended to enhance a software designers abilities in accurately predicting the time required to produce a product of stellar quality, to seek ways to improve the quality of the software being designed, and to improve their ability to evaluate technologies and methods.
