Physician who showed that implanting adrenal cells into a part of the brain could help to cure or alleviate the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. This procedure had been attempted earlier, but to no avail. Navarro Madrazo was able to show that, by altering the location of implantation slightly, this treatment became much more effective. While other treatments have been attempted recently, many of them use fetal cells, and the ethics of these treatments are currently hotly debated.
