145?-208
Chinese surgeon who is traditionally credited with the invention of anesthetic drugs, antiseptic ointments, medicinal baths, hydrotherapy, medical gymnastics, abdominal surgery, and other remarkable operations. Hua T'o was also allegedly a master of acupuncture and a brilliant diagnostician.
