Electrical energy is a function of state associated with all charged particles due to their position in an electric field. Electric power is a measure of the electrical energy utilization (or change) per unit time. In more general terms, electrical energy is the ability of electrical charges to do work. In quantitative terms, electrical power is defined as the current flow through an object multiplied by the voltage across it.

A battery is any device that is capable of storing and converting chemical, thermal, solar, or nuclear energy into electrical energy. In essence, batteries supply electrical power to a conductive circuit, and this power is used by devices that offer resistance to current flow.
