Cholesteric display is one of several promising display technologies being developed. The phenomenal growth of computer chips has heightened awareness of the limitations of graphics displays. The cholesteric LCD shows the most promise of the low power displays but is not perfect. Most display engineers will readily admit there is no perfect display.
