Science What is a valence electron? Asked by bookragstutor 13 years ago 6/11/2012 7:08 PM Last updated by anonymous 12 years ago 12/30/2012 6:27 PM
a valence electron is an electron that is present in the outer shel of an atom and is that which can combine with other atoms to form molecules. What makes it a 'valent' electron is its ability to form a chemical bond and become something else.
