Science Infer whether convection would occur in a pot of water heated at the top, rather than at the bottom. Asked by Dr. John Carmen on 09 Jan 01:39 Last updated by anonymous on 09 Jan 21:45
It would not heat through out. When a pot is heated up from the top, the water at teh top becomes warm and les dense than the water below it. The warm water doesn't sink, and no convection occurs.
