Photosynthesis is a process that uses carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight to be converted into useable energy. Generally plants and algea are known to be the few that use photosynthesis. Chemosynthesis is the process that invovles using sulfur or nitrogen compounds instead of light to produce energy and generally chemosynthesis is used in places where no light reaches.
