What causes a monsoon?

Monsoons are caused by the differences in the land to sea temperatures. This is caused by the Earth's tilt in relation to the Sun. When hot air rises into the atmosphere, cooler air fills the void that is left. This sudden upsurge brings on Monsoons...which dump copious amounts of rain wherever they hit (usually in Asia).
