Describe the kinds of light that chlorophyll and carotene pigments absorb. What is the advantage for a plant to have more than one kind of pigment?

Chlorophyll absorbs almost all of the wavelengths except blue greens, and greens. Carotenoids don't absorb oranges. The advantage is that the more wavelengths a plant can absorb, the more energy it can potentially create.
