x^2 - 5x - 6 = 0

(x )(x ) ( -6)( +1)=0

(x-6) (x+1) = 0

Solve:

(x-6)=0

x-6+6=0+6

x=6

Solve:

(x+1) = 0

x+1-1 = 0-1

x=-1
