x^2 + 7x - 44 = 0

(x )(x ) ( -4)( +11)=0

(x-4) (x+11) = 0

Solve:

(x-4)=0

x-4+4=0+4

x=4

Solve:

(x+11) = 0

x+11-11 = 0-11

x=-11
