y + 3x = 21

y + 3x-3x = 21-3x

y= 21-3x

y = - 4x + 26

21-3x = - 4x + 26

21-3x+4x = - 4x+4x+ 26

21+x=26

21+x-21=26-21

x=5

y= 21-3x

y= 21-3*5

y= 21-15=6
