4x - 4y = - 56

4x - 4y+4y = - 56+4y

4x= - 56+4y

4x/4= - 56+4y/4

x=-14+y

- 3x + 5y = 62

- 3(-14+y) + 5y = 62

- 3(-14) (-3)(+y) + 5y = 62

42-3y+5y=62

42+2y=62

42+2y-42=62-42

2y=20

2y/2=20/2

y=10

x=-14+y

x=-14+10=-4
