4x + y = 11

4x -4x+ y = 11-4x

y = 11-4x

4x+3y=25

4x+3(11-4x)=25

4x+3(11) (3)(-4x)=25

4x+33-12x=25

33-8x=25

33-8x-33=25-33

-8x=-8

-8x/-8=-8/-8

x=1

y = 11-4x

y = 11-4(1)

y = 11-4=7
