- 4x + 2y = 14

- 4x +4x+ 2y = 14+4x

2y = 14+4x

2y /2= 14+4x/2

y=7+2x

4x + 2y = - 34

4x + 2(7+2x) = - 34

4x + 2(7) (2)(+2x) = - 34

4x + 14+4x= - 34

14+8x= - 34

14+8x-14= - 34-14

8x=-48

8x/8=-48/8

x=-6

y=7+2x

y=7+2(-6)

y=7-12=-5
