2x - 5y = - 51

2x - 5y+5y = - 51+5y

2x= - 51+5y

2x/2= - 51+5y/2

x=-25.5+2.5y

- 6x + 5y = 83

- 6(-25.5+2.5y) + 5y = 83

- 6(-25.5) (-6)(+2.5y) + 5y = 83

153-15y+5y=83

153-10y=83

153-10y-153=83-153

-10y=-70

-10y/-10=-70/-10

x=7

x=-25.5+2.5y

x=-25.5+2.5(7)

x=-25.5+17.5=-8
