- 5x + 3y = 39

- 5x + 3y+5x = 39+5x

3y= 39+5x

3y/3= 39/3+5x/3

y=13+1.67x

5x + 4y = - 53

5x + 4(13+1.67x) = - 53

5x + 4(13) (4)(+1.67x) = - 53

5x + 52+6.68x = - 53

52+11.68x = - 53

52+11.68x-52 = - 53-52

11.68x=-105

11.68x/11.68=-105/11.68

x=-9

y=13+1.67x

y=13+1.67(-9)

y=13+-15.03

y=-2.03
