x^2 - 10x - 24 = 0

(x )(x ) ( -12)( +2)=0

(x-12) (x+2) = 0

Solve:

(x-12)=0

x-12+12=0+12

x=12

Solve:

(x+2) = 0

x+2-2 = 0-2

x=-2
