x^2 + 2x - 8 = 0

(x )(x ) ( -2)( +4)=0

(x-2) (x+4) = 0

Check:

(x-2) (x+4) = 0

(x)(x) (x)(4) (-2)(x) (-2)(4)=0

x^2 +4x -2x -8=0

x^2 + 2x - 8 = 0
