2x^2 - 32 = 0

2(x^2-16)=0

2(x )(x ) ( +4)( -4)=0

2 (x+4)(x-4)=0

Check:

2 (x+4)(x-4)=0

2 (x)(x) (x)(-4) (+4)(x) (+4)(-4)=0

2 (x^2) -4x +4x -16 =0

2(x^2-16)=0

Simplify

2(x-4)=0

2(x-4)/2=0/2

x-4=0

x-4+4=0+4

x=4

Simplify:

2(x+4)=0

2(x+4)/2=0/2

x+4=0

x+4-4=0-4

x=-4
