Log in to answer

16a^2 - 8a + 1 = 0

Factor:

16a2 -8 +1=0

(4a )(4a ) ( -1)( -1)

(4a-1)(4a-1)=(4a-1)2

Check:

(4a-1)(4a-1)

(4a)(4a) (4a)(-1) (-1)(4a) (-1)(-1)

16a2 -4a -4a +1

16a2 -8a +1

Simplify

(4a-1)=0

Solve:

(4a-1)=0

4a-1+1=0+1

4a=1

a=1/4
