8x^2 -12x - 5 = 0

8x^2-12x=5

4 x (2 x-3) = 5

Solve:

4x=5

4x/4=5/4

x=5/4

Solve:

(2 x-3) = 5

2 x-3+3 = 5+3

2x=8

2x/2=8/2

x=4
