2x^2 + 4(x^2 + 3) 2 = 22

2x^2 + 4(x^2) (4)( + 3) 2 = 22

2x^2 + (4x^2 +12)* 2 = 22

2x^2+8x^2+24=22

10x^2+24=22

10x^2+24-24=22-24

10x^2=-2

10x^2/10=-2/10

x^2=-1/5=-.2

sqrtx^2=sqrt-.2

x=.45
