1x^2 + 2x - 35 = 0

(x )(x ) ( -5)( +7)=0

(x-5) (x+7) = 0

Solve:

(x-5) =0

x-5+5 =0+5

x=5

Solve:

(x+7) = 0

x+7-7 = 0-7

x=-7
