Who invented peanut butter and where was it introduced?

The question of who invented peanut butter is debatable. Dr. John Harvey Kellogg is most often credited with inventing the first type of peanut butter as we know it today (1895). Peanut Butter was introduced to the public at the World's Fair (St. Louis) in 1904.
