Describe the important technological developments that took place on and of during the Civil War.

The Civil War saw numerous technological advances. These advances included weaponry.... gun designs, landmines, and repeating guns. Blockades came to the forefront, and the ironclads (boats made iron on the outside) replaced wooden ships. The railraod was an important mode of transportation, and the newly invented telegraph increased communication.
