In "The Giver" what was Jonas upset about when he saw he the children playing?

The memories given to Jonas by the Giver have taught him the meaning of war..... death and horrible pain, in addition to the loneliness and grief of those left behind. Thus, he is extremely up when he discovers the children "playing at war".
