Bill of rights EIGHTH AMENDMENT - What factors are considered by a judge in setting the amount of bail? Asked by bookragstutor on 06 Dec 09:52 Last updated by Jill W on 17 Oct 12:40
A judge can set bail based on the seriousness of the crime, flight risk, and ability to pay. This assures that the bail will not be set so high that no one could possibly pay it.
