The Yuma Indians lived in the Colorado flood plain. Because they lived in a hot, dry climate they wore very little clothing (if any) and used rude irrigation to raise corn and squash. Their diet consisted of vegetables and plants for the most part, with the occasional addition of rabbit or fish.
