Who is Young Edward Emerson from Emerson: The Mind on Fire: A Biography and what is their importance?

Edward Emerson was two years younger than his brother Waldo. He is described as handsome and graceful, all the qualities that Edward believed he himself lacked. Sadly, Edward suffered a mental breakdown from tuberculosis. He died at the age twenty-nine in Puerto Rico.
