Wuffles is Lord Havelock Vetinari's pet. He is a small, smelly, sixteen-year-old terrier. When Wuffles witnesses the kidnapping of Vetinari and substitution of lookalike Charlie, he immediately sniffs out their differences and bites the perpetrators on the ankle. He later tells his story to protagonist William de Worde for publication in the Ankh-Morpork Times.
