Eddie meets Una during a spring rain when they both take cover under a custard stand awning. Their relationship blooms through the summer with long walks around the neighborhood, and, once Eddie is able to drive, real dates. Una is an attractive girl, ative in a variety of extracurricular activities and able to carry on lengthy conversations about actual issues.
