Toghon Temur was the Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty in China, and the only one of the four khans that did not to convert to Islam. The Sultan of Delhi sent Ibn Battuta as an emissary to Toghon Temur, but the mission ended when he was shipwrecked. Temur later claimed to have traveled to China, where he met the emperor in Quanzhou.
