The younger Ptolemy was the youngest of Cleopatra's siblings and half-siblings. She described him as a happy boy, who is eager to please. He serves as Cleopatra's co-ruler and is her husband in name only..... he relies on her as a maternal figure rather than a sister or wife. The younger Ptolemy accompanies Cleopatra to Rome but spends most of the journey complaining of homesickness. He dies of consumption shortly after their return to Egypt.
