Talamasca member, Stuart Townsend, lost ten years of his childhood while he was possessed by a mysterious French girl. He turned to the Talamasca for help in coping with his strange childhood. After approaching Stella about the Talamasca's history of the Mayfairs, Stuart disappears. In the end, we learn that he was killed by Carlotta, rolled up in a carpet, and left in the attic of the First Street house.
