Sassoon was Wilfred Owens' friend and mentor. A published poet, Sassoon met Owen during the war. The two immediately struck up a frienship and began working together.... Sassoon being Owens biggest supporter and critic. After Owen's death, it was Sassoon who put together his collection of war poetry for publication.
