Seth Turner is Katie's boyfriend. He is on the high school football team. Seth is following in the footsteps of his older brother, who was also a star player on the football team. While Seth is not dumb, he is also not as smart as Katie, so Katie is able to fool Seth times throughout the novel.
Seth ends up breaking up with Katie when he finds out that she has been hiding the fact that Tommy Sullivan is back in town. Seth is Katie's escort for the pageant, but after they break up, he ends up dating one of the other contestants, Jenna Hicks.
