When the hurricane destroyed much of Galvestonin 1900, Ruby Credo was a child. Ruby survived the storm, but the rest of her family wasn't so lucky. She lost three of her sisters, and many of her family members were injured. In the end, the family also suffered the loss of everything they owned.
