Reinhart Puck is the archivist at the Museum of Natural History. Reinhart Puck has worked for the museum for many years and has witnessed the once popular archives become neglected and ignored. When Nora goes to the archives to investigate Shottum's Cabinet, Puck is full of information on the subject and tells Nora that someone else was also interested in Shottum, opening a new line of investigation down the road when she recalls his offhand remark. Puck is murdered in the archives, mutilated like the Surgeon's victims and left hanging from the tusks of a triceratops.
